We believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, that He is both God and man, that He never sinned, and that He performed miracles. Jesus died, was buried and rose from the dead so that sins can be forgiven. Jesus is now with the Father in Heaven but will some day return to earth in power and glory.

We believe that there is only one God who created the Heavens and the Earth. We believe that God exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is inspired by God and that His Spirit directed men to write His words; therefore, we believe that it contains no errors. In most versions of the Bible, the print in red font are direct quotes from Jesus. We believe that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will live eternally with God (Heaven), and that those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will live eternally without God (hell).

Step 1 is admitting that you are a sinner, believing that Jesus is the son of God, and confessing your sins to him. Pray (out loud or just in your mind) to Jesus to enter your heart and take over.

Now go tell someone! Tell a pastor, a friend, or a family member. Simply solidify it verbally that you gave your life to Christ and that you’re ready to begin a relationship with him.

Let’s talk about bridges. There is an unfortunate and misconstrued belief out there that says you can get to Heaven just by being a good person and doing good deeds. While being a good person is very important, there is no substitution for a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the one and only bridge to God. However, there are many different bridges to get to Jesus. You simply need to find the ones that best suit you!

Check out a few churches. “Church hopping” is not a bad thing. In fact, it’s a great way to find the church that fits your personality best. Going to church is a lot like going to the movies. You wouldn’t waste your time on a genre that you don’t like. There are small, intimate churches that still rock it old-school with wooden pews and stain glass, and there are mega churches with worship teams that could rival professional bands… or maybe you want to find something in the middle. As long as they are a Bible-based church, you need to find a church where you feel engaged and challenged.

If you are a new believer, a great book recommendation is the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Coming from someone who has read maybe 12 books total in my life from cover to cover, I assure you that this is very well written, easy to comprehend, and answers a lot of questions.
Not a big reader? No problem! Check out The Bible Project on YouTube. These videos go through the Bible in it’s entirety in very short, beautifully illustrated segments.
